PayPal deposits: Everything you need to know

PayPal is an e-wallet that allows you to make secure online purchases at many online merchants.

How do I open a PayPal account?

You can open a free PayPal account here.

Before you get started, here are some points to keep in mind:

  • You don’t need to pre-load your PayPal account before making a deposit. You can simply link your Visa, Mastercard, or bank account and then make your deposit from the Cashier.
  • Each customer is allowed one PayPal account only.
  • Make sure the country registered on your PayPal account matches the one registered to your account with us.
  • The PayPal withdrawal option will be available if you’ve made at least one PayPal deposit in the past 12 months.
  • We don’t charge any fees for using PayPal. However, any fees charged by PayPal will be your responsibility.

How do I deposit funds into my user account?

  1. Log in to your account and go to the Cashier. If you're on our website or using our mobile app:
    Web Cashier
  2. Under the Deposit tab, select ‘More Payment Methods’, and then ‘PayPal’.
  3. Select your preferred currency (if applicable).
  4. Enter the amount you want to deposit, the bonus code (if applicable), and select the ‘Deposit’ button.
  5. Follow the instructions on the PayPal screen to authorize the payment. For security reasons, PayPal may ask you for an extra authentication step. In this case, you'll need to insert a One-time Passcode to complete your transaction.
  6. Select the green arrow to complete the transaction.

You’ll receive the funds in your account immediately.

Why was my deposit declined?

If your deposit was declined, it might be because:

  • Your PayPal account wasn't created successfully.
  • The country registered on your PayPal account doesn't match the country you've registered with us.
  • There are insufficient funds in your PayPal account.
  • The email address or password entered is incorrect.
  • The PayPal account you're trying to use is already linked to a different user account.
  • The currency of the card linked to your PayPal account wasn't recognized (remove and add the card back).

If the problem persists, contact PayPal directly.
