Sports Betting

Think you know what the score will be in this weekend’s big game, or who’s going to win the Super Bowl? Whatever sports you like betting on, we have got you covered. You can place wagers on dozens of sports and events around the world with our easy-to-use sports betting service, and this handy how to guide can get you up and running no time.

What is Sports Betting?

If you’ve never tried sports betting before, then making your first wager might seem a little daunting. But don’t worry, there’s not much to it. Different events may feature different betting opportunities, but in its simplest form, sports betting is placing money on whether you think an outcome will happen or not. Your goal is to win money by making the correct prediction.

It could be that the Eagles will win the Super Bowl, the Lakers will make the playoffs, or something more obscure. If you can think of it, chances are you can bet on it.

How to Access Sports Betting

Players can start placing bets right now by visiting the homepage, or by downloading our app.

Login to place bets with your bankroll (there’s no need to create a new account if you already play our poker, or other, games), and you can even place wagers while you wait for your next poker tournament to start.

If you’re new, visit the homepage page to get started. Once you’re up and running, follow the steps below to place your first bet.

How to Place a Bet

1) Choose your Event

We offer betting opportunities on many different sports and on hundreds of different events. Once you’re logged into sports betting, you can choose from a wide selection of sports to bet on. Select a sport to see all available games/selections you can bet on.

2) Pick your bet

Next, choose a desired game/selection to see all the bets offered, such as ‘Game Result’ or ‘Correct Score’, and the related odds.

3) Set your bet amount

Once you have spotted a bet you like, click on the odds add it to your ‘Bet Slip’. There you can enter your bet amount, and see how much your potential payout will be.

4) Place your Bet!

Finally, just click ‘Place Bet’ once you’re ready to finalize your bet, a summary of which will be shown within the same tab. You can also track placed bets by clicking on the ‘Open Bets’ tab.

Don’t forget: some sports and events offer ‘In-Game’ betting, so even if an event you want to bet on has already started, you can still place wagers as it progresses. For more help with sports betting, and to get answers to any questions you might have, check out our Sports Betting FAQ.

Understanding the Odds

Knowing how odds work in sports betting is a key to being successful. When logged in you can change how odds are shown for each event, with popular fractional, decimal and American formats available. To choose your preferred option go to the homepage or select the drop down in the app. If you are not logged in, the odds format shown will be based on your location.

American odds start with either a positive or negative sign – with a negative showing how much you would need to wager to win $100, and a positive showing how much you would win from a $100 wager. For example – the New England Patriots to beat the Philadelphia Eagles at -110 would need a bet of $110 to win $100.

Don’t forget: in certain circumstances, even if you bet on a loser, you may get your money back. We offer money back specials, enhanced odds and bonuses on selected events and bet types, ensuring you get the best value every time you place a bet with us.

For more details, see the General Sports Rules page.

Know your bet types

From straight bets to eight bet parlays, there is a range of sports bets available, each with its own set of payout rules and criteria. You can find a full list of bet types offers right here, or see below for a quick list of some of the most common types.

  • Straight Bet

A straight bet is the easiest bet you can place. It is a bet on one selection in an event, such as predicting who will win the game. To be successful and win money, your selection must be correct.

  • Parlay Bets

A parlay bet is a bet on two or more individual events, such as the LA Lakers to beat the Phoenix Suns and the Golden State Warriors to beat the Utah Jazz. Parlay bets can come in a number of different formats, such as two bet parlays, three bet parlays and many more. The important feature of a parlay bet is that all predictions must be correct to win the bet.
